Prime Minister Petteri Orpo will represent Finland at the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2024) in Berlin on 11–12 June. The conference will focus on economic support, reconstruction and reforms for the future of Ukraine and will be co-hosted by Ukraine and Germany.

Prime Minister Orpo will deliver Finland’s address at the conference. Leading up to the event, Orpo highlighted Finland’s strong commitment to the reconstruction of Ukraine through its national plan.

“Supporting Ukraine in its reconstruction is absolutely crucial. Reconstruction creates hope while also promoting Ukraine’s convergence with the EU. Finland and Finnish businesses have a great deal to offer here,” said Prime Minister Orpo.

The conference will bring together state leaders and ministers from countries supporting Ukraine, international organisations and financial institutions, business representatives and civil society organisations. Several Finnish companies will also be attending.

The working sessions and panel discussions in Berlin will focus on four thematic dimensions: the business dimension, the human dimension, the local and regional dimension and the dimension of EU accession and related reforms.

The first Ukraine Recovery Conference took place in London in 2017.
