Prime Minister Orpo to attend UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development

Prime Minister Petteri Orpo will lead Finland’s delegation to the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in New York on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 July. The annual forum takes stock of progress made by the world’s countries in attaining the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

On Monday, Prime Minister Orpo will deliver a speech at the plenary session of the forum, and on Tuesday he will present Finland’s third Voluntary National Review. The review assesses Finland’s progress in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals agreed on in 2015.

The meeting is an important opportunity for Finland to show our commitment to promoting the jointly agreed SDGs. It is also a valuable opportunity to forge stronger partnerships, engage in dialogue and showcase Finnish solutions.
