The telephone numbers of the Prime Minister’s Office will change on 12 February 2013, after which they will make part of the new government-level numbering system.

The new switchboard number will be +358 295 16001 and the Government Registry can be contacted at +358 295 160 334. All direct numbers to the PMO staff will also change and begin with +358 295. Mobile numbers will remain unchanged.

From 12 February onwards, the new numbers will be available on the Government website at http://vnk.fi/ministerio/yhteystiedot/en.jsp and in the Government telephone directory at http://valtioneuvosto.fi/puhelinluettelo/phonebook4013.jsp.

Calls to the Prime Minister's Office are only subject to the local, mobile or SMS charges as defined by your operator.

The government agencies and public bodies have gradually adopted the new system with phone numbers beginning with either +358 294 or +358 295 regardless of their location in Finland. Most central government organisations will be brought under the new system by the end of 2013.

The national level phone number reform makes part of a project to develop the State's voice solutions and voice services. In addition to operational and modern communications technology benefits, the aim is to attain cost savings within state administration.
