Prime Minister Juha Sipilä is pleased that the labour market organisations were able to find consensus on an extension of one more year to the employment and growth agreement. The agreement is the first step in the path that will turn Finland to growth.
A lot more is needed, though. The negotiations aiming at a social contract must continue. According to Sipilä, agreement on the social contract will require similar spirit of cooperation and willingness to take action to correct the country's economy that would restore Finland's price competitiveness.
