The main topics will be EU enlargement, the Western Balkans, Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and security in Europe.

“Finland will continue to support Serbia’s path to EU membership. Given the current security situation in Europe, it is essential to maintain close dialogue with all candidate countries on issues affecting European security. Finland will continue to pursue an enlargement policy based on the EU’s membership criteria, with special emphasis on the geopolitical importance of enlargement and the significance of democratic institutions and rule of law reforms in all candidate countries,” Minister for Foreign Affairs Valtonen says.

During his visit, Foreign Minister Đurić will also meet President of the Republic Alexander Stubb and visit Parliament, where he will meet with Johannes Koskinen, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Parliament.
