Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon to visit Finland

Slovenian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon will visit Finland on 30 January and meet Finnish Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen.

At their meeting, the Foreign Ministers will discuss the bilateral relations between Finland and Slovenia and the countries’ cooperation in a variety of areas. Topical foreign and security policy issues, such as support for Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East will also be on the agenda.

“Relations between Finland and Slovenia are excellent, and this visit enables us to further deepen our relations. As partners in the EU and allies in NATO, we share similar views on many issues and work together on matters such as EU enlargement,” says Minister for Foreign Affairs Valtonen.

During her visit to Helsinki, Minister Fajon will also meet President of the Republic Alexander Stubb and Vice-Chair of the Parliamentary Committee for the Future Timo Harakka.
