Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to visit Helsinki
Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan will visit Helsinki on 5 November and meet Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen.
The foreign ministers will discuss bilateral relations between Finland and Türkiye and the two countries’ cooperation in different sectors. Topical issues related to European security and the situation in the Middle East are also on the meeting’s agenda.
“Finland and Türkiye are NATO allies and the alliance’s external border states. Türkiye has an important role in the current global political situation. This visit will enable us to further consolidate our bilateral relations and exchange views on the security situation in Europe and the situation in the Middle East,” Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen says.
While in Helsinki, Minister Hakan Fidan will also meet Speaker of Parliament Jussi Halla-aho.
