Unofficial EU defence minister meeting in Brussels

The defence ministers of the European Union will convene for an informal meeting in Brussels on 30 August 2024.

Permanent Secretary Esa Pulkkinen from the Ministry of Defence will represent Finland on behalf of Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen.

The ministers will discuss the EU's military support to Ukraine, the military crisis management and defence readiness of the EU, and defence financing. A working lunch to discuss the European Union Satellite Centre (SatCen) will be organised in connection with the meeting.
