1.12.2025 | Finland and Sweden have agreed to further enhance their cooperation in a number of areas, including foreign and security policy, security of supply and transport and logistics. Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson adopted a joint declaration on the matter on Monday 1 December at Kesäranta in Helsinki.

26.11.2025 | Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson will meet in Helsinki on Monday 1 December and in Espoo on Tuesday 2 December. On Monday, the prime ministers will have a bilateral meeting at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Kesäranta. On Tuesday, the Prime Ministers will attend an event organised by the Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre Hanaholmen, where they will inaugurate works of art donated by Sweden and Finland in honour of the centre’s 50th anniversary.

19.3.2025 | Prime Minister Petteri Orpo met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Kesäranta, on Wednesday 19 March. Their discussions took place at a critical moment: tomorrow, the leaders of the EU Member States will meet in Brussels for the March European Council, where Ukraine will be one of the main topics on the agenda. Prime Minister Orpo will represent Finland at the meeting.

13.2.2019 | Prime Minister Juha Sipilä will meet prime ministers of EU countries in Helsinki on 19-20 February to continue the preparations for Finland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. At the Prime Minister’s Official Residence Kesäranta, Sipilä will first meet the Prime Minister of Slovenia Marjan Šarec and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte on 19 February, followed by the visit of the Prime Minister of Belgium Charles Michel on 20 February.

5.7.2019 | The College of Commissioners headed by President Jean-Claude Juncker met with Prime Minister Antti Rinne and his Government in Helsinki on 4 and 5 July. The purpose of the meeting was to pave the way for the Finnish Government and the Commission to work together in promoting the priorities of Finland’s Presidency and the new strategic agenda of the European Union.
