Orpo's Government to have seven ministerial working groups

At its plenary session on Friday 14 July, the Government appointed ministerial working groups of Prime Minister Orpo's Government. The ministerial working groups were appointed for a sustainable welfare society; employment and entrepreneurship; clean energy, the environment and security of supply; internal security and administration of justice; children, youth and families; physically active lifestyles and functional capacity; and social transformation.

Compositions of the ministerial working groups

The ministerial working group on a sustainable welfare society will guide and direct the implementation of the Government Programme with regard to ensuring a sustainable and well-functioning welfare society.

The ministerial working group on employment and entrepreneurship will guide and direct the implementation of the Government Programme with regard to the social security reform, international recruitment, promotion of competition and deregulation, entrepreneurship and the built environment.

The ministerial working group on clean energy, the environment and security of supply will guide and direct the implementation of the Government Programme with regard to climate, environmental and nature policy, clean energy and the energy transition, and permit procedures for projects. In addition, the ministerial working group will guide and direct the implementation of the Government Programme with regard to food and forest policy.

The ministerial working group on internal security and administration of justice will guide and direct the implementation of the Government Programme with regard to internal security and administration of justice.

The ministerial working group on children, youth and families will guide and direct the implementation of the Government Programme with regard to the wellbeing and prevention of social exclusion of children and young people.

The ministerial working group on physically active lifestyles and functional capacity will guide and direct the implementation of the cross-administrative action plan promoting physically active lifestyles and functional capacity and monitors the action plan implementation. The ministerial working group will also deal with the other matters related to sports and elite sports included in the Government Programme.

The ministerial working group on social transformation will guide and direct the implementation of the Government Programme with regard to the extensive utilisation of digitalisation, robotisation and artificial intelligence in society as a whole and in public administration. The ministerial working group will deal with matters related to the development of public administration, excluding the reform of healthcare and social welfare administration.
