The Government’s action plan published in June includes 30 actions that support the employment of Ukrainians. Communication in Ukrainians’ native language is increased and their transition to municipalities is supported. The action plan is now also available in English for example EU-level comparison and other research.

Cooperation between employment services and employers, career services and language and integration training are used to support the employment of Ukrainians. In the future, Ukrainians will get more information about job search and working life in their own language through for example reception centres, public employment services and other services used by Ukrainians.

Support for the transition of Ukrainians from reception centres to municipalities is provided. The action plan for referral of refugees to municipalities (AMIF) drawn up by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment has opened an application round in August for discretionary government grants as a part of the action plan. This aims to support transitions to municipalities and to support municipalities and wellbeing service counties in organizing and developing services that promote employment and integration.

The action plan will be implemented in the years 2024-2027. A working group of public officials appointed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment has prepared the program.
