Eemil Nuuttila appointed as Special Adviser to Minister Grahn-Laasonen

Minister of Social Security Sanni Grahn-Laasonen has invited Eemil Nuuttila to serve as her Special Adviser. Nuuttila will deputise for Special Adviser Niilo Heinonen during his family leave between 1 March and 31 July 2024.

Nuuttila will be responsible for matters covered by the Department for Safety, Security and Health at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. The duties of the Department include alcohol, drug and tobacco policy, pharmaceutical services, environmental healthcare, health protection, and matters related to preparedness in the Ministry’s administrative branch.
 
Up until now, Nuuttila has served as Special Adviser to Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen. In that position, he has been responsible for the Foreign Minister’s communications and media relations, for example. Before that, he worked as an economic policy specialist at the National Coalition Party’s parliamentary group office.
