Foreign Minister Soini visits the USA

Minister for Foreign Affairs Timo Soini will visit Washington DC on 1–4 February to discuss international security matters, such as Syria, Afghanistan and terrorism. Other topics of discussion will be the security situation in Europe, the Ukraine crisis, the refugee crisis and Arctic cooperation. Minister Soini will meet US foreign policy leadership, members of Congress, and representatives of think tanks. He will also visit the World Bank.

Minister Soini will speak at a roundtable event on Arctic issues organized at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). In addition, he will attend a National Prayer Breakfast, hosted by President Obama.
