Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis to visit Helsinki
Greece’s Minister of Foreign Affairs George Gerapetritis will visit Helsinki on 9 October and meet Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen.
The foreign ministers will discuss bilateral relations between Finland and Greece and the two countries’ cooperation in different sectors. Topical issues related to European security are also on the meeting’s agenda.
“Greece is an important EU and NATO partner, which invests in its national defence. The visit enables us to further consolidate our bilateral relations and exchange views on the security situation in Europe and on recent developments in the neighbouring regions of both Finland and Greece,” says Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen.
While in Helsinki, Minister Gerapetritis will also meet Speaker of Parliament Jussi Halla-aho and visit the icebreaker Polaris.
