The aim of the trade mission is to showcase world-class Finnish expertise in central Sweden and open up opportunities for closer cooperation with Swedish and international businesses operating in the region, both in the Swedish market and global value chains.

The trade mission’s agenda includes several business visits and events in Ludvika and Västerås. In addition, Minister Ville Tavio will meet Governor of Dalarna County Helena Höij and Governor of Västmanland County Acko Ankarberg Johansson.

“Sweden is Finland’s closest partner and the first foreign market for many Finnish companies seeking to do business abroad. The visit aims to strengthen the role of Finnish businesses in Sweden’s industrial transition and to highlight Finnish expertise in smart energy and industry solutions in particular,” Minister Tavio says.

Sweden’s significant investments in the transition to sustainable industry offer new growth opportunities for Finnish companies. In central Sweden, the focus is on smart solutions, with the aim of improving the efficiency of energy production and storage, strengthening electricity transmission capacity and promoting the automation of industrial production.
