Prime Minister Juha Sipilä has expressed his deep shock regarding the terrorist attack in Nice. Prime Minister Sipilä is currently attending the ASEM Summit of European and Asian leaders in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The Summit started with a moment of silence for the earlier terrorist attack in Dhaka, as well as the attack in Nice.
- The terrorist attack in the evening of the French National Day was a horrendous attack directed at ordinary citizens. It was also an attack against our open society. Defending our common values based on openness and democracy is now more important than ever before. Our thoughts are in France. Our condolences to the families and friends of the victims.
