  8. 15.1.2025 | Prime Minister Petteri Orpo cultivated political and economic relations between Finland and the United Arab Emirates during a working visit on 13–15 January. The programme for his visit included meetings with the President and Prime Minister of the UAE and with several ministers. His visit also coincided with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Finland and the UAE. Prime Minister Orpo was accompanied on the visit by a business delegation put together by Business Finland.

  9. 19.12.2024 | Finland is preparing a country pavilion for the next UN Climate Change Conference to be held in Belém, Brazil, from 10 to 21 November 2025. In addition to economic relations, the visit aims to promote political dialogue between the two countries.   15. 24.1.2023 | The EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism aims to prevent carbon leakage, where greenhouse gas emissions are transferred to countries outside the Union through production, and at the same time to encourage non-EU manufacturers to reduce their emissions. The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment has appointed a working group to prepare the implementation of the mechanism in Finland.
