  20. Government launches new measures to combat African swine fever - Finnish Government

    31.8.2026 | The Government will introduce new measures and increase funding to strengthen the combat against African swine fever. In order to encourage the hunting of wild boars, the reward for samples collected from hunted wild boars will be raised to EUR 500 until the end of 2026. Funding for prevention measures will be secured as part of the budgetary process. The Government is also assessing the regional economic impacts of the disease.
