4.2.2025 | Prime Minister Petteri Orpo has invited Juuso Kilpinen to serve as his special adviser at the Prime Minister’s Office. He will be responsible for EU affairs. 27.11.2023 | The EU employment and social affairs ministers will meet in Brussels on 27–28 November to discuss, among other things, the European disability card. Other topics on the agenda include green collective bargaining, the EU action plan against racism, and social investment. 4.12.2024 | In its meeting on Wednesday 4 December, the Ministerial Committee on European Union Affairs agreed on Finland’s positions on the deliberations for the EU pharmaceutical package. 12.3.2024 | On Tuesday 12 March, the EU’s Economic and Financial Affairs Council decided to recommend that the European Parliament grant discharge to the Commission in respect of the implementation of the general budget of the European Union for the financial year 2022. 4.5.2021 | Early this year, Twinning activities were extended to seven new countries under the three-year pilot of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA). The results of the calls for proposals for the first two pilot projects have already been published, and Finland is very proud to have been awarded both projects.
