New ministerial appointments in Prime Minister Marin’s Government
On Friday 29 April, the President of the Republic appointed Minister of Science and Culture Antti Kurvinen to the post of Minister of Agriculture and Forestry and Member of Parliament Petri Honkonen as the new Minister of Science and Culture. On the same occasion, the President relieved Jari Leppä from his duties as a member of the Government and from his post as Minister of Agriculture and Forestry at Leppä’s request.
Following the presidential session, the Government plenary session made decisions on changes to the ministerial portfolios, deputising arrangements and the composition of ministerial committees and working groups. At the beginning of the session, Minister Honkonen also took his oath of office and judicial oath.
Ann-Mari Kemell, Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science (Economics and Business Administration) was appointed State Secretary to Minister Kurvinen and will also continue as State Secretary to Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilä. Master of Social Sciences Tuomo Puumala will continue to serve as State Secretary to the Minister of Science and Culture.
