Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Tavio to lead trade mission to Mexico
Finland’s Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio and a delegation of ten Finnish companies will visit Mexico on 9–13 March. The Team Finland trade mission pursues to strengthen trade relations between Finland and Mexico and promote cooperation between the two countries.
As the second largest economy in Latin America and the 13th largest economy in the world, Mexico offers many opportunities for Finnish companies. This trade mission will focus on two sectors: safe societies and energy.
In Mexico, Minister Ville Tavio will have several meetings, including with Secretary of Energy Luz Elena González Escobar and senior management from the Secretariat of National Defense and the Secretariat of the Navy. The programme for the visit will also include a networking event at the Mexican Business Council of Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology (COMCE).
“Mexico is a particularly important partner for Finland in Latin America. There is demand for closer commercial and economic relations between us. I am pleased that our delegation has this opportunity to showcase Finnish solutions,” Minister Tavio said.
