New ministerial appointments in Prime Minister Orpo’s Government

On 5 July, the President of the Republic appointed Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Anders Adlercreutz to the post of Minister of Education and Member of Parliament Joakim Strand as the new Minister of European Affairs and Ownership Steering.

Minister Adlercreutz is also responsible for matters related to Nordic cooperation at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

The President also released Anna-Maja Henriksson from her duties as Minister of Education and as a member of the Government.

Following the presidential session, the Government plenary session made decisions on changes to the ministerial portfolios, deputising arrangements and the composition of ministerial committees and working groups. At the beginning of the session, Minister Strand also took his oath of office and judicial oath.

Mikaela Nylander, Master of Science in Economic and Business Administration and Bachelor of Laws, will continue as State Secretary to Minister of Education.
