14.3.2025 | In its meeting on Friday 14 March, the Ministerial Committee on European Union Affairs defined the Government’s main priorities for exerting influence on the European Commission’s work programme for 2025, which was published on 11 February. The Ministerial Committee also discussed the European Commission’s Communication on the Competitiveness Compass and its Vision for Agriculture and Food. The space sector and its geopolitical operating environment have changed significantly in recent years. 24.2.2025 | Finland has been active in responding to Ukraine’s need for assistance. Finland has delivered more than 100 vehicles to Ukraine through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. The latest consignment of 16 vehicles was delivered during the first weeks of February. 20.6.2024 | On 20 June 2024, the Government appointed a National Emergency Supply Council for the period of 1 July 2024–31 December 2026. Topi Manner, Chief Executive Officer of Elisa Oyj, was invited to chair the Council, while Timo Jaatinen, Permanent Secretary from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, will serve as vice-chair.
