Pilvi-Elina Kupias and Tino Aalto appointed as Special Advisers to Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Tuppurainen

Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Tytti Tuppurainen has appointed Pilvi-Elina Kupias as her Special Adviser on EU Affairs and Tino Aalto as her Special Adviser on ownership steering.

Kupias has worked as an EU Specialist of the Social Democratic Parliamentary Group and as an EU lobbyist specialised in energy policy in Finland and in Brussels. In Antti Rinne’s Government, she already served as Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on EU Affairs. Kupias holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and Business Administration from the University of Maastricht.

Previously, Aalto worked as Special Adviser to Minister Sirpa Paatero at the Prime Minister’s Office and as Special Adviser to Minister Ville Skinnari at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Aalto has also worked as Head of Innovation Policy and as Senior Adviser to the CEO of the Federation of Finnish Technology Industries.

Emilia Tervonen will continue as Minister Tuppurainen’s Special Adviser on media relations.
