Good governance from Finland to the EU Eastern Partnership countries

Representatives of the EU Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) will visit Finland to learn about open government and decision-making in the framework of the new development cooperation project. The launch of the PADOS project (Participatory Democracy, Open Governance & Efficient eGovernment Services) is marked by a workshop and kick-off conference on 31 March–2 April 2015.

The objective of the Participatory Democracy, Open Governance & Efficient eGovernment Services project is to enhance the transparency and openness of decision-making and governanceand to support democratic governance in the six EaP countries. 

The project is financed by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and implemented by HAUS The Finnish Instituteof Public Management Ltd in cooperation with Estonian project partners. The project's duration is one year. Training events will be organised in Finland, Estonia and all the six partner countries.
