Minister Delegate to the Foreign Minister of Morocco visits Finland

Mbarka Bouaida, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Morocco, is visiting Finland on 13–15 January. Minister Delegate Bouaida will have bilateral talks with Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja on, among other topics, international issues as well as the development of the Moroccan society.

The Minister Delegate will also meet Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade Lenita Toivakka and Minister for International Development Sirpa Paatero. The topics of discussion will include fields of cooperation between Finland and Morocco, relations with the European Union, NGOs as social forces and the development of the rule of law. Minister Delegate Bouaida will also visit the Finnish Parliament.

Minister Delegate Bouaida will speak at the seminar “The EU and Morocco: How much scope for deeper engagement?” to be held at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs on 14 January 2015, and will also meet Finnish civil society organizations at the event arranged by the Forum for Culture and Religion – FOKUS.

Regular high-level discussions in both the political and the economic sector have recently been held between Finland and Morocco.
