Iida Vallin appointed Special Adviser to the Prime Minister
Prime Minister Sanna Marin has invited Iida Vallin to serve as her Special Adviser.
Vallin has previously served as Communications Manager for the Social Democratic Party of Finland, among other positions, and holds a Master’s degree in Social Sciences. She will be responsible for the Prime Minister’s communications and media relations until 17 January 2021.
Earlier in September, the Prime Minister’s Office announced that Special Adviser Henrik Haapajärvi would be serving as State Secretary to the Prime Minister for the duration of Mikko Koskinen’s paternity leave. Matti Niemi will replace Haapajärvi as Special Adviser to the Prime Minister in Political Affairs and as Secretary of the Social Democratic Party’s Government Group. During this time, Special Adviser Pirita Ruokonen will be responsible for the Prime Minister’s parliamentary affairs and Special Adviser Tuulia Pitkänen will be in charge of her EU affairs.
