Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilä visits Åland

Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilä will visit Mariehamn on 17–18 August. During his visit, the Minister will meet representatives of the Government of Åland and the local business community.

Minister Lintilä will meet Minister of Economic Affairs Fredrik Karlström, Minister of Development Alfons Röblom, Minister of Finance Torbjörn Eliasson and Premier Veronica Thörnroos of the Government of Åland as well as Member of Parliament Mats Löfström. The ministers will discuss the recovery of the business sector from the coronavirus crisis, renewable energy and the shipping industry.

"Åland is an interesting economic region where the employment rate has been over 80 percent, which also should be the goal on mainland Finland. The coronavirus is a challenge for the development of the economy and employment in Åland.” says Minister of Economic Affairs Lintilä.
