Minister Adlercreutz to visit Tallinn

Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Anders Adlercreutz will travel to Tallinn on Monday 30 October. The visit will be hosted by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna.

During the visit, the ministers will discuss a wide variety of topical EU issues. Items on the agenda include EU enlargement, developing the EU’s resilience to crises and the forthcoming EU Strategic Agenda for 2024–2029. The ministers will also discuss Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine and ways to further strengthen the EU’s assistance to Ukraine. 

Ministers Adlercreutz and Tsahkna are colleagues on the EU General Affairs Council (GAC). The tasks of the GAC include preparations for the European Council meetings. The GAC is also responsible for a number of cross-cutting policy areas, including negotiations on the multiannual financial framework and EU enlargement. Questions related to the rule of law are also an established part of the council’s agenda.
