Prime Ministers of Finland and Estonia to meet in Tallinn
Prime Minister Petteri Orpo will travel to Tallinn on Wednesday 5 July at the invitation of Prime Minister of Estonia Kaja Kallas. During the visit, Prime Minister Orpo will also meet the President of Estonia Alar Karis.
The two Prime Ministers will discuss the relations between Finland and Estonia, security of the Baltic Sea region, topical EU affairs and international questions.
Traditionally, Finnish prime ministers visit Tallinn and Stockholm soon after the Government has been appointed. For scheduling reasons, the visit to Stockholm will take place in the autumn. However, Prime Minister Orpo and Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson have already met at the Nordic prime ministers’ meeting in Iceland (25–27 June) and European Council meeting in Brussels (29–30 June).
