The Permanent Joint Mechanism between Finland, Sweden and Türkiye met in Brussels

The third meeting of the Permanent Joint Mechanism between Finland, Sweden and Türkiye was held in Brussels on 9 March. The discussions took place at NATO Headquarters. Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also participated in the first part of the meeting.

The discussions focused on the implementation of the memorandum signed in Madrid in June 2022. The countries agreed that the next meeting of the Permanent Mechanism would take place later this spring and that cooperation would continue also after the accession process of Finland and Sweden has been completed.
