Finland participates in a Middle East peace conference in Paris

Finland will participate in a Conference for Peace in the Middle East to be held in Paris on 15 January.
The conference is part of the initiative launched by France in 2016 aiming at the resumption of the Middle East peace process and at keeping the prospect for a two-state solution alive.
The meeting will be hosted by Jean-Marc Ayrault, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development of France, and it will gather together representatives from about 70 countries, the European Union and the Arab League.
Finland's representative at the meeting will be Secretary of State Peter Stenlund.
