Foreign Minister Haavisto to meet UK Foreign Secretary

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto will meet UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly in London on 19 October.

The Ministers will discuss, among other things, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the European security situation and the EU–UK relationship.

“The United Kingdom is a close partner for Finland. It is important that we increase our cooperation and dialogue in the current foreign and security policy situation. I appreciate the opportunity to continue this dialogue with the new Foreign Secretary of the UK,” says Foreign Minister Haavisto.

In London, Minister Haavisto will also meet representatives of the academic and research community and of the media. In addition, he will speak at a Chatham House Rule event.
