Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov to visit Finland
Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov will visit Helsinki on 9 March and meet with Finland's Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen.
The foreign ministers will discuss bilateral relations between Finland and Uzbekistan as well as current foreign and security policy issues.
“I had the pleasure of visiting Uzbekistan as OSCE Chairperson-in-office in June 2025. Our two countries are working more closely together, and I welcome the opportunity to continue discussions with Minister Saidov in Helsinki. The current geopolitical situation underlines the need for regular dialogue,” Minister Elina Valtonen said.
Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov will also meet with President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb. A meeting between representatives of Finnish and Uzbek business life will also be held during the visit.
