Prime Minister Sipilä to informal meeting of EU heads of state or government

On Wednesday 23 September, Prime Minister Sipilä will attend an informal meeting of the EU heads of state or government in Brussels. The meeting will focus on the EU's action to manage migration flows.

The EU leaders will discuss ways of helping frontline member states to ease the pressure they face, extending cooperation with Western Balkan countries and Turkey to manage the crisis, and increasing support to refugee camps. The Justice and Home Affairs Council will hold an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday 22 September.

Prime Minister Sipilä will also meet President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker.
