Poland's Minister of National Defence to visit Finland

Poland's Minister of National Defence Antoni Macierewicz will make an official visit to Finland on 27 September 2017. The visit will be hosted by the Finnish Minister of Defence Jussi Niinistö.

The ministers will discuss bilateral relations between the two countries, the security situation in the Baltic Sea region, materiel cooperation and international cooperation, and they will sign a framework agreement.

An inspection of the guard of honour and a wreath-laying ceremony at the Hietaniemi cemetery are also included in Minister Macierewicz's programme. In addition, he will call on the Defence Command Finland and will familiarise himself with the Guard Jaeger Regiment in Santahamina.
