7.6.2022 | Inrikesministeriet har beställt en utredning om betänketiden för offer för människohandel under vilken offren kan besluta om de tänker samarbeta med myndigheterna för att de som misstänks för människohandel ska kunna gripas. Samtidigt utreds det hur misstanke om försäljning av sexuella tjänster ska tillämpas som grund för avvisning av en person. Utredningen görs av Europeiska institutet för kriminalpolitik HEUNI.

7.6.2022 | The Ministry of the Interior has commissioned a study on the reflection periods granted to victims of human trafficking during which the victims can decide whether to cooperate with the authorities in apprehending those suspected of human trafficking. At the same time, it will be examined how suspicions of trading in sexual services are taken into account in cases where denial of stay is being considered.

24.5.2021 | On 24 May, the Ministry of the Interior set up a project to carry out a study on a legislative amendment that would enable the granting of a temporary residence permit and an alien’s passport for a limited period to asylum seekers who have received a negative decision but who have found work. The purpose of the amendment would be to allow a person to travel to obtain a travel document from the authorities of their own country.
