On 12 March 2020, the Government recommended that all public events with more than 500 attendees be cancelled in order to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The recommendation is based on the Communicable Diseases Act.
The regional state administrative agencies will decide on the prohibition of public meetings or events in their area.
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health has sent a letter to the regional state administrative agencies requesting them to prepare without delay for the decisions in their area in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act.
