Prime Minister Alexander Stubb has convened a high-level meeting to discuss entrepreneurship on Tuesday 24 March in Kesäranta, the Prime Minister's Official Residence. Representatives of the forefront of Finnish corporations, state authorities and some of the most promising startups will gather for an exchange of views on the prerequisites for Finland to become a leader in the industrial internet.

The participants will give their brief presentations on their views on what are the key issues in utilising the industrial internet in the short term. The ensuing joint discussions will focus on finding concrete means for Finland and Finnish companies to best exploit the benefits, to revamp their activities and take the lead in industrial internet innovations at an international level.  Pitching of businesses will also be used to find new partnerships that could profit from cooperation.

Among the participants, larger organisations are represented by Marimekko, Konecranes, Supercell, Outotec, Wärtsilä, Posti Group, the City of Tampere, the Finnish Defence Forces and the Ministry of Finance.

Participants representing startups are from Cyberlightning Oy, Olapcon Oy, Havamax Solutions Oy, Retail Logistics Excellence - RELEX Oy, Oliotalo Oy, BaseN Oy, Enevo Oy, Aidon Oy, Remion Oy, 3D Online Factory Oy, Vincit Oy and Wolt Enterprises Oy.

The idea of a meeting between decision-makers, corporations and startups emerged in November 2014 when Prime Minister Stubb hosted the Northern Future Forum of nine Prime Ministers in Helsinki.
