Memorial to former Finnish Prime Minister Harri Holkeri unveiled at Hietaniemi graveyard

A memorial monument to the former Finnish Prime Minister Harri Holkeri was unveiled at Hietaniemi graveyard, Helsinki, on 19 September. The memorial, entitled "Veden muisti" (water's memory), was designed by Artist Professor Pekka Jylhä.

The Harri Holkeri memorial is made of bronze and black granite. The stone work was carried out by Loimaan Kivi Oy and the bronze castings by Arto Hyyryläinen. Harri Holkeri's name is on the monument as written by himself. All texts are made of black-painted steel.

Former Prime Minister Harri Holkeri was buried with state honours on 27 August 2011. The memorial was commissioned by the Prime Minister's Office.
