Minister Anders Adlercreutz, who is responsible for Nordic cooperation, will attend the summer meeting of the ministers for Nordic cooperation in the Faroe Islands on 15–16 June.

The meeting will be hosted by Denmark and the Faroe Islands, which hold the Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2026.

“With the changes in the global situation, cooperation between the Nordic countries is more important than ever. We share strong values, mutual trust and a willingness to find common solutions. The meeting in the Faroe Islands will focus on ways to promote free movement, improve preparedness and reinforce the Nordic region’s standing as one of the most integrated regions in the world,” says Minister Adlercreutz.

In addition to issues related to the freedom of movement and removal of cross-border barriers, the ministers will discuss cooperation on preparedness and the Nordic Council of Ministers’ budget for next year and the modernisation of its activities, among other topics.
