Minister Tuppurainen to visit Riga

Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Tytti Tuppurainen will visit Riga on Monday 6 June. The agenda includes a bilateral meeting with Latvia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Edgars Rinkēvičs and a joint meeting with Latvia’s chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee Rihards Kols and chair of the European Affairs Commission Marija Golubeva.

They will discuss Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine, the EU’s energy policy, the development of the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy, Finland’s membership process in NATO, and the rule of law.

Minister Tuppurainen will also visit the NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence in Riga.
