The President and Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy discuss current situation in Ukraine and Middle East

In their meeting on Friday 15 August, the President of the Republic and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy discussed the efforts to put an end to Russia’s illegal war of aggression, the recent discussions between Ukraine, European countries and the United States and support for Ukraine ahead of the meeting between the Presidents of Russia and the United States in Alaska. Finland promotes the efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace in Ukraine and continues its diplomatic, military and economic support to Ukraine.

The President and the Ministerial Committee also discussed the current situation in the Middle East and the international efforts to advance the two-state solution.
