Prime Minister Orpo and Estonian Prime Minister Michal to meet in Tallinn

Prime Minister Orpo and Estonian Prime Minister Michel met in Helsinki in August 2024.

Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal will meet in Tallinn on Friday 22 August. The meeting will focus on cooperation between the two countries and on topical security issues and EU affairs.

The topics on the agenda for the Prime Ministers’ meeting on Friday include support for Ukraine on its path to a just and lasting peace and the security situation in the Baltic region. The premiers will also discuss the EU’s enlargement, next multiannual financial framework (MFF 2028–2034) and strengthening the Union’s defence capabilities.

Prime Minister Orpo will also have a bilateral meeting with Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna.

The visit will continue on Saturday 23 August with a less formal agenda.

Prime Minister Michal made his first visit abroad as Prime Minister to Helsinki in August 2024.
