Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang visits Finland

The Vice Premier of China, Wang Yang, will visit Finland on 18 - 19 November on the invitation of Prime Minister Alexander Stubb. Economic issues, trade between Finland and China, matters concerning agriculture and forestry, and cultural issues will be among the main themes of the visit.
Prime Minister Stubb and Vice Premier Wang will meet in Kesäranta on Tuesday 18 November. Discussions will focus on bilateral relations between Finland and China, including trade and economic relations, international economic issues, and relations between the EU and China. The meeting will end with the signing of memorandums and agreements between Finland and China, including an action plan for agricultural cooperation for 2015–2016, agreement on environmental and innovation cooperation in Beijing, and memorandum on cultural exchange and cooperation for 2015.
During his visit, Vice Premier Wang will also have a meeting with President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö, Minister of Finance Antti Rinne and Minister of Economic Affairs Jan Vapaavuori. Vice Premier Wang and Minister of Finance Rinne will exchange views on the economic situation in China and Europe and discuss the relations between Finland and China. Dinner discussions hosted by Minister of Economic Affairs Vapaavuori will centre on bilateral trade relations and investments.
Vice Premier Wang will be accompanied by a large business delegation. On Wednesday 19 November, the Vice Premier will visit Finnish businesses.
