Ministerial working groups under Prime Minister Katainen's Government
The Government made a decision on the ministerial working groups and their chairs in its informal meeting on 30 June. The ministerial working groups and their chairs are:
• Ministerial working group on public administration and regional development, chaired by Minister of Public Administration and Local Government Henna Virkkunen
• Ministerial working group on educational policy, chaired by Minister of Education and Science Jukka Gustafsson
• Ministerial working group on social and health policy, chaired by Minister of Social Affairs and Health Paula Risikko
• Ministerial working group on energy and climate policy, chaired by Minister of Economic Affairs Jyri Häkämies
• Ministerial working group on basic social services, chaired by Minister of Finance Jutta Urpilainen
• Ministerial working group on transport and communications policy, chaired by Minister of Transport Merja Kyllönen and Minister of Housing and Communications Krista Kiuru
• Ministerial working group on Russian affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen
• Ministerial working group on the fight against the shadow economy, chaired by Minister of Finance Jutta Urpilainen
• Ministerial working group on internal security, chaired by Minister of the Interior Päivi Räsänen
• Ministerial working group on integration and migration policy, chaired by Minister of Labour Lauri Ihalainen
It was also agreed that the Cabinet Committee on Economic Policy will see to preparatory work on matters concerning tax policy. The compositions of the statutory cabinet committees had been agreed earlier.
