Ministers’ holidays

Ministers are entitled to 30 days of paid leave corresponding to annual holiday. The right to 30 days of paid leave starts at the beginning of the calendar year or on the day on which the minister is appointed. If a minister does not have time to take their leave by the end of the calendar year, the leave may be taken until the end of April of the following year.

All ministers’ leave is submitted to the government plenary session for confirmation. Cancelling a leave does not require a new decision; a notification to the Prime Minister’s Office is sufficient.
